In a relaxed and informal atmosphere, group members examine the causes and effects of stress in order that participants can understand their own responses to stressful situations.

This will be achieved by:

  • Analysing what is meant by stress;
  • Exploration of negative and dysfunctional stress;
  • The effect on individualís physical and mental health;
  • Consideration of sources of stress;
  • Ways to reduce and manage stress;

By the end of the session, participants will have started to explore their relationship to stress and will have considered how to manage situations which may put them under undue pressure.
