AIMS:
In a relaxed and informal atmosphere, group members examine the causes and effects of stress in order that participants can understand their own responses to stressful situations.
OBJECTIVES:
This will be achieved by:
- Analysing what is meant by stress;
- Exploration of negative and dysfunctional stress;
- The effect on individual’s physical and mental health;
- Consideration of sources of stress;
- Ways to reduce and manage stress;
OUTCOMES:
By the end of the session, participants will have started to explore their relationship to stress and will have considered how to manage situations which may put them under undue pressure.
