Celia Harbottle

Dr Celia Harbottle is a freelance lecturer/trainer working in the field of Social Care and Health with many years experience delivering a wide variety of programmes and courses.

Celia is one of the first practitioners to have been endorsed by the National Skills Academy for Social Care as an Individual training provider for the quality of her training, relationships with providers and commitment to the GSCC code of conduct. She is also a CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) approved provider in recogintion of her awareness practice in matters of health and safety.

Her background is rooted in practice both in NHS provision and Social Services and she was a Senior Lecturer at both the University of Sunderland and the University of Teesside before deciding to go freelance in February 2004.

To date, she has been involved in the design and delivery of programmes to meet specific organisational need. She has a growing reputation as a popular training provider with delegates who attend her programmes because of her enthusiastic, informed and up to the minute knowledge and style of delivery.

She has been commissioned for research and evaluations for services eager to identify their strengths and developmental needs in terms of their service delivery and has also facilitated staff teams who are managing specific work based challenges.

Celia has also been recognised by the English Community Care Association (ECCA) as an approved provider of Mental Capacity Act training and is a GSCC (General Social Care Council) registered practitioner.
